Tense game ends in draw

Today the 16th of October level 7 Stratford town held level 6 Boston United in a game that was eventful from the start

The first chance went to the pilgrims as Joe Leesley lashed a shot that went just over the bar.

Boston took the lead in the 21st minute when they were awarded a free kick leaving former Sheffield Wednesday player Fraser Preston to fire home and give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

8 minutes later Preston found the net again after a jinking run but it was arguably ruled out for offside.

The lead only lasted 10 minutes when the bards were given a corner and Janaii Gordon leaped like a kangaroo and powered his header home.

The next event occurred in the 56th minute when substitute Jake Wright jr came close when he headed just wide of the net.

Just after the half hour Danny Elliot had a shot for the home team which was well palmed away by the visitors goalkeeper Liam O’Brien.

The game took a turn for the worse when Wright jr received a second yellow for violent conduct on ‘the bards’ keeper

Boston ambushed the end where there there fans were situated in the last 10 minutes but could not test O’Brien meaning that we will do it all again in Stratford this Tuesday night 7:45 kick off
