Lichfield have good pre season run out against premier division rivals Coventry United.

On the 21st of July Lichfield beat Coventry united 3-2

There first chance came when their number 11 received the ball outside the box and fired towards goal only for the keeper to parry wide

City came close again just before half-time when the number 8 was unmarked and headed agonizingly wide.

Against the run of play Coventry scored in the 55th minute when a cross was retrieved by there number 9 who headed home.

There lead did not last long though when city went straight up the other end and scored via a number 9 shot from a tight angle.

Coventry scored again though on the hour mark via a shot from the edge of the box that sneaked into the net.

Again city leveled though when 12 received the ball centrally outside the box and arrowed the ball into the top corner

Just as the supporters thought that there was a lull in the game Lichfield won a penalty when a player was fouled in the box all that was left was for the number 2 to slot the penalty home making the final score 3-2 Lichfield.
