Lichfield advance in FA cup by defeating 10 men Stourport

Today Lichfield went home with a well deserved 4-0 win.

Stourport’s game did not start well when Harrison Yates was controversially sent off within the first 10 minutes.

Their day went from bad to worse when ex West Brom youth player, Kyle Patterson, fired home from close range in the 12th minute.

Their lead was almost doubled when Scott Goodby had a chance clatter off the bar.

They deservedly doubled their lead in the second half when Max Black had a shot that rippled the back of the net.

Not long after that Jack Edwards had a shot that went agonisingly wide.

They did score three though, when new signing Joe Haines had a cross that took a wicked deflection into the back of the net.

Not long after they scored again when another new signing from Rushall Olympic, Max Dixon, smashed a shot into the net.
