Ukraine vs North Macedonia 17/06/21

Today ukraine played north macedonia with both teams looking to get points on the board after a 3-2 defeat to the netherlands and a 3-1 loss to austria reptrespectly

It was a slow start the only chance being elmas hitting wide into the side netting for North Macedonia

Ukraine had a half chance in the 20th minute but he could find noone with his cutback.

Ukraine did take the lead in the 28th minute when 2nd top goalscorer of all time Andriy Yarmolenko edged closer to the national record by tapping home from a corner to make it 1-0 ukraine.

They doubled there lead when Yarmolenko played through Gent player Yaremchuck to slot home to make it 2-0 Ukraine

Macedonia though they pulled one back though Panda only for it to be flagged offside.

Ukraine went in at halftime 2-0 up courtesy of there 2 excellent forwards.

At halftime North macedonia made a double change with Lecce player Boban Nicolov and 30 year old Stefan Spiriotskivi coming off for Alexsander Trajoskvi and Darko Chunlev

The macedonians came out firing with top scorer Panda having a shot tipped wide.

Minutes later Ukraine had a shot cleverly tipped over.

North macodonia were awarded a penalty after a smart save by Bushan Panda was hauled down the resulting penalty was saved only for Leeds man Alioski to smash home the rebound.

Malinovskyi almost restored the lead for Ukraine but his shot was expertley held.

Ukraine were awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute when a free kick glanced of a macodonian hand. The resulting penalty was saved by the strong hands of dimitrevski.
